Connect + Transform is our bold three-year initiative to retire the remaining debt from the 2019 FORWARD renovations, freeing us to invest more deeply in the ministries that shape lives every day. Through this campaign, we’re also refreshing key spaces in our church—including the gym and Chapel—to better serve our community and foster connection. Finally, we’re establishing a Capital Reserve Fund to ensure we can maintain our facilities for generations to come. Together, we’re building a stronger foundation for ministry, mission, and transformation as we Connect People to God, People to People, and People to Service.

Retire Debt to Invest in Ministry
Eliminating our debt will immediately free up approximately $114,000 each year in our budget—resources that can be redirected to support life-changing ministries and invest in the people who carry them forward. Instead of managing loan payments, we’ll be fueling mission, outreach, and growth — right now!
Create a Capital Reserve Fund
Success with this campaign means BUMC will be able to establish a strategic capital reserve fund that ensures long-term sustainability by supporting the upkeep and preservation of our facilities for years to come.
Improve our Campus
Once the debt is eliminated, BUMC will earmark future funds to refresh spaces like the Chapel and FLC gym, enhancing their ministry impact and transforming them into valuable assets for revenue income without incurring more debt.
