Our History

The people of Bellaire United Methodist Church have been worshipping and serving in the city of Bellaire for 70 years. Founded in 1946 by forty people who initially met for worship at Condit Elementary School, Bellaire UMC has since grown to over 1,300 members and is a thriving congregation located at the corner of Bellaire and Newcastle. With three worship services every Sunday, programs and activities for all ages, and multiple partnerships with community organizations, the people of Bellaire UMC continue to invest in Bellaire and surrounding neighborhoods by connecting people to God, connecting people to people, and connecting people to service.
