Worship
Contemporary: 8:30 AM Traditional: 10:55 AM Asian-American: 11 AM
Worship is at the heart of all we do! Our primary reason for gathering is to worship God, but the work of the church does not stop there. We make and share lasting friendships. We learn the needs of others and find compassion to help meet those needs. We are served during our special times of need by those who have knelt with us at Holy Communion, participated with us in baptisms, joined with us in congregational prayer and sung with us the great hymns of the church.
 |
Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of every month and is served at each worship service. Everyone who claims Christ as Lord is welcome at the table, for it is not a Methodist table, but the Table of the Lord. |
Guests who would like to know more about our church and its ministries are invited to stop by the Guest Center in the sanctuary foyer (traditional service) or Family Live Center's main entrance (contemporary service) before or after the service for a gift. A friendly church member will help answer your questions and find a pastor to meet with you if that would be helpful. Please let us help you find your place within this wonderful congregation.
Children are welcome at all services, as we love to see young children attend worship services with their parents. Little ones remind us of what’s truly important in this life – the future of our children. To make the experience more meaningful for you and your child, consider these tips:
- Sit in a section of the church where your child can see what’s going on and that you can make an easy exit and return. Folks don’t mind if your little one fusses a bit or wiggles to move or change position
- Quietly explain what’s happening in the service to help them understand and remain interested
- Bring along some favorite picture books or snacks when your child needs a distraction
- Remember, even if you’re able to stay for only a few minutes, your child will begin to understand that worship service is important to you and available to them, too
Worship bags, or "busy bags," are available for preschool and elementary-age children at the contemporary and traditional worship service. Please see an usher for assistance.
