Church & Society

Sunday, March 2:  Visit to St. Mary’s UMC

Church and Society is sponsoring a visit to our sister church, St. Mary’s UMC, located at 6731 Scott St., on Sunday, March 2, and you are invited to join us.

St. Mary’s congregation has invited us to join them in honoring two of our new Eagle Scouts for work they have completed on the facility. It also is a wonderful opportunity to worship and commune with our sister congregation. As an offering, it is suggested that you bring canned goods to fill their food pantry, as their stocks are very low and they service many people every week through this ministry.

We will meet in the Bellaire UMC atrium at 9:40 a.m. so we can carpool, as their parking facilities are very limited. The gathering honoring the scouts starts at 10 a.m. and worship begins at 10:45 a.m. Since we are not leaving until 9:40 a.m., those attending will have an opportunity to worship with our congregation at early service and check in with your Sunday school class before leaving. Church & Society looks forward to a wonderful day of praise and worship with each other and with our sister congregation.

This work area promotes congregational involvement in social issues.
Our mission is to demonstrate
