Caring Ministries
These ministries are comprised of BUMC's own lay ministry organizations and committees bringing personal, caring service to church members and the community. They are served by people who share the love of God through a wide variety of ministries suited to their own particular gifts and talents. Care ministries also gather to respond to the needs of the church and the community and function with our pastors, our Sunday school class and other discipleship programs.

ALTAR FLOWER DELIVERY
Shares the altar flowers with members who are in the hospital or a nursing home or who are shut-ins.
FAITHFUL PAWS
Visits nursing homes and health care facilities by an organized team of volunteers with trained animals, specifically designed to administer therapy to adults/children; as well as the training and certification of handlers and therapy animals.
GRIEF CARE
Provides spiritual support, including "support groups" to families when a loved one dies.
FOOD FOR THE BEREAVED
Provides meals to families after a death or other crisis.
ROSEBUD MINISTRY
Places a rosebud on the church altar and then delivers it to the parents of a newborn baby.
SECOND FAMILY
Provides respite care to caregivers and family members during extended health circumstances within the church family and community.
STEPHEN MINISTRY
Trained lay people provide support for those who need someone to listen and pray with them.
