Under the leadership of Sr. Minister Rev. Rick Hume, the church continues to be a leader in the community and in Methodism as a whole. Bellaire UMC, in its 60th year, is an active congregation that is involved not only with the Houston community, but also around the world.

The mission of Bellaire UMC is to glorify God as revealed in the Bible and personified in Jesus Christ by becoming disciples, being disciples and making disciples. We understand that discipleship involves developing an intimate relationship with God and committing oneself to the work of Jesus and His church through: praying, attending worship, giving, serving (having a ministry), learning about Jesus and the Christian faith, witnessing, shepherding and loving one another.
